The Rising Star Youth Competition was an immersive 3-month music competition in Indiana, where contestants were partnered with local celebrity mentors to prepare for a final showcase and compete for career-advancing prizes.

Originally designed as an experiential marketing stunt to initiate brand awareness for MidWay Music Festival and MidWay Music Speaks, Rising Star exceeded expectations and became a recurring event for 2 additional years.
This curated, personalized experience introduced contestants to the music industry while making them feel like stars. Each contestant was paired with a local celebrity whose career most closely aligned with their aspirations, creating meaningful mentorship opportunities. Prizes included high-value experiences from local businesses such as performing on the main stage at MidWay Music Festival, radio interviews, studio time, rehearsal space, music lessons, and more.
